Hi, I’m James.
Post production specialist since a young lad. Starting out with the infamous blue title screens of Windows Movie Maker and the janky frames of Pivot Animator, I fell in love with the surgical touch of editing and made it a goal to provide my skills to the industry.
Graduating from a Bachelors of Information Technology / Creative Industries at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2018 where I learnt the foundations of the industry, I sought out knowledge in crucial skills by then participating in AVID Media Composer certification courses at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), as well as attaining Blackmagic Design certification for DaVinci Resolve.
After several years of freelancing with clients in independent film, education, health, eSports and fitness, I found an in-house post production assistant role at New York Film Academy Australia, giving back to my roots at film school and showing myself how far I’ve come. The journey almost came full circle as I edited in the same building of future filmmakers & editors that were much like my young self.
With projects ranging from documentaries, indie features, shorts, social media ads, showreel scenes, my next project is always on the hunt, with more and more exciting works anticipated for my future.
